Strengthening family ties through photography–
Even for highly successful and busy individuals, like Boy Abunda, there are certain things that will always be first – family is always one of them. This is what the new Great Image campaign is all about: valuing the family.
As part of its strategic corporate program, which commenced in 2007, Great Image has decided to have not just Boy Abunda but Nanay Lesing Abunda as well to be the faces of its new thematic campaign: “Every boy has non-negotiables.” This is the first in the series of thematic ads under the new Great Image slogan: ‘priceless photography.’
Boy and Nanay Lesing were the perfect choice for this campaign. Not only do they embody the strong mother-son relationship present in all Filipino families, Boy and Nanay Lesing also represent filial piety, respect, and love that keep the Filipino family resilient, strong, and tight.

“Great Image is all about the Filipino family. So when we decided to launch a new campaign, Boy and Nanay Lesing were really our first choice,” enthused spouses Robert and Toots Palomo, president and CEO of Great Image. “They are the picture of family values, strength of character, and genuine love.”
Boy is one to be very vocal about his love for his mom. In fact, Nanay Lesing shares almost equal celebrity status with Boy. “Even when I am in a meeting and my phone rings and I see that it’s Nanay calling, I stop the meeting and take the call. Mas importante ang nanay,” shares Boy.
Both the Abundas and Great Image share the Filipino trait of valuing family above everything else. To every Filipino, family is considered priceless. It is everyone’s non-negotiable.
Boy was excited to be working with Great Image for the second time, but was even more excited to be working with Nanay Lesing on their first project together. Both Boy and Nanay Lesing had a blast during the recent pictorial where Great Image was able to successfully capture the natural love that mother and son have for each other.
Great Image boasts of its 34 branches located in major malls nationwide, specializing in professional portraiture, digital imaging, and photo and video coverage.
